UNTHA LR – wood shredder from workshop to industry

The LR series is UNTHA’s single-shaft wood shredders, developed specifically for joinery workshops, sawmills and the timber industry. The range covers a wide spectrum from the compact LR520 for micro-workshops to the powerful LR1400 for industrial pallet shredding.

All LR machines produce homogeneous wood chips suitable for heating boilers (bioenergy) or as feedstock for wood briquettes and further recycling.

Variants

LR520 – compact (11 kW, < 1 m² floor space) for small joinery workshops
LR630 – mid-size (11–18.5 kW) for joinery workshops and trades
LR700 – with low-temperature package (–30 °C), 18.5–22 kW
LR1000 – larger capacity (22–30 kW) for sawmills and production facilities
LR1400 – most powerful model (44–60 kW), up to 50 pallets per hour

LRK – for plastics and regranulation

The LRK is a plastics-specialised variant of the LR series, developed for the plastics processing industry. The machines are used for regranulation, in-house recycling and volume reduction of a wide range of plastic materials.

Key differences from the standard LR:

Swing ram with two hydraulic cylinders for automatic infeed
Rotor cooling – especially important for plastics with a low melting point
Individual customisation of rotor, cutting system and blade sizes

Available as LRK700, LRK1000 and LRK1400. Suitable for plastic film, PET bottles, plastic drums, IBC containers, bumpers, foam and production waste in the plastics industry.
