UNTHA XR – the most versatile shredder
The XR series is UNTHA’s flagship and the best-selling shredder series in Norway. With three interchangeable blade systems, it can be adapted for everything from coarse size reduction to precise fine shredding – without changing machine.
Direct electric drive delivers up to 75% lower energy consumption compared to diesel-hydraulic drive, and the Eco Power Drive system automatically optimises power output based on material load.
Cutting systems
- RC (Ripper Cutter) – coarse pre-shredding, 100–300 mm fraction, up to 70 t/h. For bulky waste and material with foreign objects.
- C (Cutter) – versatile shredding with interchangeable screens, 25–300 mm fraction. For commercial and household waste, RDF production.
- XC (X-Cutter) – next generation for SRF shredding, down to 30 mm fraction. Operates at 65–85 rpm versus the industry’s 250–350 rpm.

- XR2000 – cutting chamber width 1,960 mm, 10–40 t/h
- XR3000 – cutting chamber width 2,960 mm, up to 70 t/h
